Birth Certificates
A birth certificate is a vital document that can only be provided to specific people:
- The individual named on the certificate if they are at least 18 years old or an emancipated minor with court documentation.
- One of the parents listed on the birth certificate.
- A legal guardian with original court documents stating guardianship.
- Legal representative of the individual named on the certificate.
The Jasper County Clerk has birth records for individuals born in Jasper County from December 1877 to present.
Requirements
Request Birth Certificate By Mail – Send the following information to the Clerk’s Office:
- a photocopy of your driver’s license or acceptable ID
- Fill out the Birth Certificate Request form.
- Payment for your request
Self-addressed stamped envelope to return the certified certificates.
Birth Certificate Fees
A certified birth certificate with a raised seal is $20.00 and $10.00 for each additional copy purchased in the same transaction.
