Duties of the Office
- Deposits and maintains the revenue and public monies of the County
- Invests funds on deposit according to State Statute
- Assists the County Board in formulating the annual budget, financial plans, and projections
- Bills and collects real estate and mobile home taxes
- Conducts the annual sale of delinquent real estate and mobile home taxes

July 20, 2026 – Real Estate Tax Bills Mailed
July 20, 2026 – Mobile Home Tax Bills Mailed
August 25, 2026 – First Installment of Real Estate Tax Bills Due
September 25, 2026 – Second Installment of Real Estate Tax Bills Due
September 25, 2026 – Mobile Home Tax Bills Due
September 25, 2026 – Last Day to Pay Tax Bills at Local Banking Institutions
October 2, 2026 – Last Day to Submit Bids for County Trustee’s Sealed Bid Auction
October 2, 2026 – Certified Mailing of Delinquent Notices
October 13, 2026 – Final Payment Day Before Publication of Delinquent Taxes
October 23, 2026 – Publication of Delinquent Taxes in the HomeTown Register
November 6, 2026 – Last Day to Register for Delinquent Tax Auction
November 16, 2026 – Annual Auction of Delinquent Taxes
