City of Newton Utility Bill Mailing Update
January Utility Bill Mailing Delay
The City of Newton mailed January utility bill postcards on Friday, January 30. Due to a processing delay after leaving the local post office, the postcards have not yet been delivered and are currently unaccounted for.
The City is reprinting the utility bill cards today. Customers may receive two bill cards if the original mailing is eventually delivered.
To allow residents and businesses sufficient time to receive their bills, the payment due date has been extended from February 15, 2026, to February 20, 2026.
Most customers do not need to take any action at this time and may wait for their bill to arrive. ACH customers should note that scheduled ACH payments will still be processed on February 10, 2026.
Customers who need their bill amount immediately may contact City Hall at 618-783-8451, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
