The mission of the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Jasper County is to serve the citizens of Jasper County and the participants in the judicial system in a timely, efficient, and competent manner. **Temporary Address** During the construction of the new courthouse, the Circuit Clerk’s Office is located in a county office building at the corner of Edwards and Van Buren, just west of the Jasper County Health Department along IL-130. The physical address is 1002 S Van Buren St: Newton, IL 62448. The postal mailing address for the Circuit Clerk’s Office will remain the same at 100 W Jourdan St: Newton, IL 62448. All in-person Jasper County Court cases will be conducted at the Effingham County Government Center located at 120 W Jefferson Ave: Effingham, IL 62401 on the Second Floor in Courtroom A. Online Payment Options Explained
If you are pleading GUILTY and PAYING for a NO APPEARANCE REQUIRED traffic ticket, you may only pay through the JUDICI E-PLEA/E-PAY program.
- Judici E-Pay allows users to make payments on closed cases with an outstanding balance.
- Judici E-Plea allows users to plead guilty and pay the fine for MOST minor traffic and conservation offenses which do not require a court appearance, as indicated on the ticket.
Duties of the Circuit Clerk
The Circuit Clerk maintains records for the entire Court system and is the official record keeper of all court-related documents. In addition, the Circuit Clerk collects all fines, fees, costs, and penalties assessed pursuant to state statutes and county board resolutions and distributes those monies on a monthly basis to the county, municipalities, and various state agencies.
