City of Newton NOW ACCEPTING BIDS for the 2027 Mowing Season

EACH LOCATION MUST BE A SEPARATE BID!

Earl Dufrain Park – Liberty Ave.                                                         3.83 Acres

Peterson Park and Canoe Ramp – East Marion St.                           14.89 Acres

Riverside Cemetery – East Marion St.                                               10.01 Acres

ADERVERTISEMENT FOR MOWING BID:
The City of Newton, Illinois, is accepting sealed bids for grass mowing, weed eating, trimming, edging, and grass clipping and debris cleanup from sidewalks and paved areas upon completion of mowing.  The contract shall be for a period of one (1) year, covering the 2027 mowing season.  Sealed bids must include company name, address, phone number and bid price at the rate per mow.  Bid specifications may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office during regular business hours 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  Sealed bids must be returned to Newton City Hall, 108 N. Van Buren Street, Newton, Illinois, by 4:00 P.M. local time on September 1, 2026.  Bid opening will be held on September 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM during the Newton City Council Meeting.  The City of Newton reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.  EACH LOCATION MUST BE A SEPERATE BID!
