NOW ACCEPTING BIDS FOR NEWTON ELECTRIC LINE D MATERIAL
INVITATION FOR BIDS
The City of Newton, Jasper County, Illinois will receive sealed bids for:
Newton Line D Material Contract
until 2:15 p.m. local time on April 8, 2026, at the City of Newton, 108 N. Van Buren Street, Suite #A, Newton, IL 62448.
The plans and specifications are on file with the said City of Newton for viewing purposes only.
Copies of the documents may be acquired from BHMG Engineers, Inc., 9735 Landmark Parkway Suite 110A, St. Louis, Missouri 63127, Consulting Engineers for the said Board. Please email Amy Wooldridge, AWooldridge@bhmg.com with request.
Bids shall be received for the aforementioned items.
A certified check or bank draft on a responsible, solvent bank, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety company, payable to the City of Newton, Joshua Kuhl, Mayor or Government Bonds or cash in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of bid, shall be submitted with each bid.
The bid shall be marked to identify bid package contents, reference specification 3763 K002.
The successful bidder will be required to:
- Register as a bidder for this
- Furnish in duplicate the following executed documents:
- Non-Collusion Affidavit
- Bid Form
- Bid Bond, Certified Check or Money Order
- And any other documents as required by the
No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Utility for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing bids.
The said City of Newton reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding, and to determine and accept the most advantageous bid to the Utility.
