NOW ACCEPTING BIDS FOR MOWING

ADERVERTISEMENT FOR MOWING BIDS:
The City of Newton, Illinois, is accepting sealed bids for grass mowing, weed eating, trimming, edging and grass clipping and debris cleanup from sidewalks and paved areas upon completion of mowing, at the specified City-owned properties: Earl Dufrain Park, Peterson Park and Riverside Cemetery. The contract shall be for a period of three (3) years, covering the 2026, 2027 and 2028 mowing seasons. Sealed bid must include company name, address, phone number and bid price at the rate per mowing. Bid specifications may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office during regular business hours 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sealed bids must be returned to Newton City Hall, 108 N. Van Buren Street, Newton, Illinois, by 4:00 P.M. local time on February 17, 2026. Bid opening will be held on February 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM during the Newton City Council Meeting. The City of Newton reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
