The City of Newton is Accepting Bids for a 1999 Bucket Truck
The City of Newton is accepting sealed bids for a1999 Ford F550 2WD 40’ Bucket Truck with a Versalift VST-240-I Aerial Unit (MFG Date 8-3-99) Serial # DE9948
Chassis is a 2-wheel drive, 7.3 Power Stroke Turbo Diesel engine, 45357 miles on odometer, Strobe lights, Ladder rack, Cab Guard, 4 rigger pads, Remote start/stop in rear and on boom tower, 2 Speed control on rear and on Boom tower. Aerial Unit has upper and lower controls, upper hydraulic tool attachment, Emergency Backup pump, Jib with rope and 2 sets of operator manuals. Truck is tested and inspected every 6 months. Boom is Dielectric tested yearly.
No Bucket liner, and the remote start/stop inoperable in bucket, remote 2 speed in bucket inoperable.
Truck will be sold as is. Truck can be viewed at the corner of Jourdan St., and Van Buren St. Sealed bids must contain bid amount, name, address and phone number of bidder. Please return sealed bids to Newton City Hall located at 108 N. Van Buren St., Newton, Illinois 62448. All bids must be received by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Bids will then be opened at the October 21, 2025 meeting of the Newton City Council.
