County Seeking Animal Control Officer

The County of Jasper is seeking an Animal Control Officer.  Please note this is a contracted position.

Duties:

  • Responsible for enforcing County and City ordinances pertaining to dogs.
  • Impounding Dogs found to be in violation of any County or City ordinance.
  • Caring for Impounded Dogs.
  • Maintaining county animal control facilities and equipment.
  • Investigating bite incidents.
  • Investigating the inhumane treatment of animals.

Pay:

  • Pay will be commensurate with one’s experience, and final decision will be made by the county board.
