Job Description:

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applications for Full-Time Deputy position.

Qualifications

  • S. Citizen.
  • At least 21 years of age at time of hire.
  • Ability to pass background check.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to pass the Illinois State Power Test.
  • Willingness to live in Jasper County or surrounding county.

Lateral Transfers

  • Lateral transfers are encouraged to apply. Lateral transfers are eligible for an increase in starting pay.

Benefits

  • Starting pay between $26.23 and $28.02, depending on experience.

  • Two weeks paid vacation after one year.
  • One sick day per month with accumulation up to 180 days.
  • 3 personal days per calendar year.
  • Ability to accumulate comp time.
  • 12-Hour shifts with every other weekend off.
  • Take home squad if applicant resides in Jasper County.
