DESCRIPTION:PUBLIC NOTICE \nOPEN SPACE LANDS ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT GRANT \nThe City of Newton will hold a Public Hearing to receive community input on the proposed application to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for funding under the Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) Grant.  The purposed projects will consist of upgrades at Peterson Park\, such as resurfacing and painting the tennis courts and basketball court\, new playground equipment and new fencing around the mini golf area. \nResidents and other interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide input to help shape the development of this important community resource.  The hearing will be held on Tuesday\, September 2\, 2025 at 5:30 PM in the City Council Room at Newton City Hall located at 108 N.
